E150d (Sulphite Ammonia Caramel):

1. Production:

   • Created by heating carbohydrates with both ammonia and sulphites.
   • Known as Class IV Caramel.

2. Properties:

   • Darker in color, with high stability in acidic and alcoholic conditions.
   • Has a more intense and robust color.

3. Applications:

   • Commonly used in cola drinks, dark beers, spirits like whiskey, and acidic condiments such as soy sauce.
